You can use the command Character style, which can be accessed via the context menu, to create and modify "character styles".

In a character style, you can save a frequently used character format (font, font size, text styles, etc.) and then apply it repeatedly to any characters or entire cells.

If, for example, you want to regularly print small print sections in a different font and smaller size, simply create an appropriate character style – lets call it "Small print" – and apply it to the desired text passages.
