On the View tab in the dialog box of the ribbon command File | Options options_icon, you can make some settings for the appearance of spreadsheets on the screen:

Markers

Here, you can change the appearance of the small triangles that are displayed in cells that contain a comment or are protected.

Color of comment markers

Here, you can change the color of the small triangle that is displayed inside cells that contain a comment.

Color of protection markers

Here, you can change the color of the small triangle that is displayed in all cells that are not protected when sheet protection is enabled.

Size

This option allows you to change the size of these markers.

Paint grid behind cells

When you enable this option, the gray gridlines displayed between the table cells are painted in the background of the cells (and no longer in the foreground). As a result, the gridlines will no longer be visible for cell ranges that have a colored background.

Cell marker

Here, you can change the color and line width of the cell frame (the dark frame that indicates the currently active cell in a worksheet).
