Inserting dates in Arabic

If the option Extended support for Arabic text is enabled in Options options_icon, the following additional options for inserting dates are available in the dialog boxes of the ribbon commands Insert | Date/time and Insert | Field (both in the group Text):

Font

Here, you can select the language in which day and month names are to be displayed in the date. You can choose between the language for Western scripts, Asian scripts or complex scripts (for example, Arabic).
Note: The three Language options on the Font tab in the dialog box of the ribbon group Home | Character group_arrowcan be used to specify the language to be used.

Calendar

Here, you can specify whether the date should be based on the Gregorian calendar or the Islamic (Hijri) calendar.
