Using the outline view

As mentioned in the introduction, Write provides a special display mode for editing a document's outline: the outline view.

To switch to the outline view, choose the ribbon command View | Outline. You can choose the command View | Standard to return from the outline view to the standard view at any time.

In outline view, you see the document organized according to main headings and subheadings. The first-level headings (main headings) are on the far left. Each lower level heading is indented to the right by an amount corresponding to its level.
